The Car History of Alex Beloff III

I BOUGHT THE CAR WITH BLACK BUCKET SEATS, FACTORY AIR BUT NO  LUGS IN PHOENIX ARIZONA AND SHIPPED IT TO WALNUT CREEK.  IT WAS STOLEN, AND THE CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL CAUGHT MEXICANS DRIVING IT TO SACRAMENTO AND THEY WERE ARRESTED.  A TIP HERE FOR EVERYONE:  WHEN STATE FARM PAID ME FOR THE LOSS OF THE VEHICLE, I BOUGHT IT BACK FOR SALVAGE $500.   THEY BURNED UP THE ENGINE.  I FOUND A DEPENDABLE 389, INSTALLED IT AND IT DID VERY WELL.

YES, I HAD A SALVAGED TITLED.  WE WERE MOVING TO MEMPHIS.  I GOT PERMISSION FROM ROTARIAN ADRIAN MENDEZ, PDG AND HIS SON TO STORE THE GP ON THEIR SCHOOL PROPERTY, A SMALL WOODED AREA FLANKED BY THE ROAD THAT RUNS IN BACK OF WAYNE STEAD CADILLAC.  I BOUGHT A NEW CALIFORNIA CAR COVER.

WHILE IN FLORIDA AT GERMAINE LEXUS, I GOT A CALL FROM THE MENDEZ FOLKS THAT SOMEONE HAD STOLEN THE $400 CAR COVER.  A MONTH LATER THE PROPERTY WAS BEING RENOVATED.  MY GP MUST GO IMMEDIATELY.  I CALLED DON SIGNER IN NEWARK AND ASKED HIM TO PARK THE GP ON HIS LOT.  HIS DEALERSHIP IS ACTUALLY PRISTINE PERFECT.  HE HAD NEVER ACCEPTED A VEHICLE FOR STORAGE THAT HE DIDN’T OWN BUT HE WAS A FELLOW ROTARIAN AND A CAR ENTHUSIAST.  I PERSUADED HIM TO STORE IT TEMPORARILY. LATER I TOLD HIM I HAD EXHAUSTED ALL POSSIBILITIES AND TO JUST SELL THE CAR AND PUT THE MONEY IN HIS POCKET IN APPRECIATION FOR OUR FRIENDSHIP.
